Train connections into central London are a short 10 minutes drive into the centre of St Albans or from Radlett station. The journey into London takes approximately 30 minutes and the trains run about every 20 minutes.
The accommodation has a large double bedroom, with a dining area and a comfortable seating area. TV with Freeview and DVD player in the bedroom. Both the bathroom, with a shower over the bath, and the kitchen are newly fitted. The kitchen is equipped with a microwave, hotplate, halogen oven, and a steamer.
Would you prefer not to cook? Our local pub, The Three Hammers, is about 5 minutes walk away. They cook excellent food for a reasonable price. On the other side of the road from the pub, you will spot a Chinese take-away and an Indian restaurant.
Your host will provide a basic “welcome” food pack for when you arrive.
St Albans is an old Roman City with lots to see and do.
Verulam Park is in the centre of St Albans, which has a lake and some of the remains of the old Roman City. If you would like to know more about St Albans’ historic background, Verulamium Museum is very interesting,
The Abbey, situated in Verulam Park, is also definitely worth a visit.
In Verulam Park you will also find a leisure centre with a swimming pool and fitness centre.
Market days are on Wednesday and Saturday.
Greenwood Park is very close to SilverLining, with tennis courts and lovely walks in a small wooded area and large open fields.
Within a short walking distance you will find a newsagent/convenience store, a baker, chemist and doctor’s surgery.
